Product Description
Kampilan was made famous by the "Iranun" Moro pirates/mercenaries of Mindanao. Magellan, the first westerner to circumnavigate the earth, was slain with a Kampilan according to the chronicler Pigafetta in 1521 in the island of Mactan near Cebu, Philippines. It is easily identified by its forked handle that is a stylized gaping jaw of crocodile. The single edge blade is 27 inches with a spikelet on the top part near the tip. It has an ebony wood cross guard and handle. The grip can be use single or two handed and is pinned to the tang for security. Comes with a hardwood scabbard.
